Arc'teryx Vancouver

Nice to see this location has good reviews but that's not the level of service I received during my visit. I went in looking for a pair of hiking boots, first time buyer but I did do some reason online so had an idea on which pair I'm interested in. The person who greeted me at the door directed me to where the shoes were and asked if I wanted to try on a size. While I was waiting for a size, I asked an employee nearby about the shoes he was wearing, he seemed uninterested and walked away as soon as the greeter brought over my size. He leaves right after as well...no one else came over to take over. I'm just standing around... he later comes back and asked how they were and offered a different pair to try. I'm pretty sure he's the greeter person so I expected someone else to come take over. But after the 2nd pair, nothing... no one came to help me or ask questions etc etc. Seems like all the employees was in a group, all chatting? Mind you, the store had 2 other customers, none were being helped. So I'm confused why no one including myself was getting 1 on 1 service? I put the shoes back in the box and just walked out of the store. I have had 100x better experience at the Kits location even when the store was super busy.

Quality has really gone downhill! Way downhill. This would be my 3rd Beta AR Jacket that I purchased from Arc’teryx over the years... and I am severely disappointed with the quality of the materials now being used and the a significant jump in price. I have always known the price tag for this brand has been high I never really argued, I believed in the Arct’eryx thought process and statement of investing in a more expensive product that I could rely on for good dependable durability and quality. This would reduce waste and purchasing a jacket less regularly. I have been an Arc'teryx Ambassador since 1999. When i purchased my 1st backpack for 1st year high school and i was hooked! It lasted all the way until 2022, lasting high school, college, several continents, and decades later when i had to finally retire it and buy another Arc'teryx bag to replace it, And I did it with more with Canadian and consumer pride than any other product i have ever purchased and used in my life when I had, so many good memories . I have purchased countless amounts of products ever since. My experience has always been mostly really good, even when i brought things in for warranty issues with a few kinks here an there but overall very good. Ive purchased several pairs of pants, Jackets, hats ranging from base layer to Mid-layers, to shells, hats, for my self personally and my entire close family throughout the years and have been advocate and have convinced, to the rest of my family, friends, co-workers... really anyone who would let me rave about their quality and customer service experiences. Unfortunately, now my advocacy for this organization and brand will have to now conclude. I am deeply saddened by the sub-par materials now being used in the products and then try to be told they are better than before, this new style of customer service. It does not match what I have advocated for with other people and fellow brand enthusiasts. My last Beta AR that I spent $850 on i had to bring in for warranty work has been rejected and have been told i would have to deal with it myself. It has a small hole in the right bottom of the pocket and there are quite obvious marks on the material from wearing a backpack and general use. The problem is i got this to replace my old Beta AR that i had to give away as i needed a bigger size the year prior. Had i known this material would not be durable enough to stand up to sport and my regular use i would have gone for the Alpha. I am touching the materials and comparing the 2 Betas only a year or so apart the jackets there is a definite softer, thinner feel to the worn out one that has been rejected for warranty. I can understand that the company must be taking a different approach in customer service and lower quality given the massive global popularity growth and success. It was inevitable I guess…. I really believed in this brand. Sorry for the long message but it really needed to be said.

We were looking for travel pants and Felipe shared with us his excellent product knowledge. He found the best pants to suit our needs. When it turned out that our size and colour were not available in store, he showed us how to check the availability on the Arc’teryx website and showed us how to order it online. Free delivery! They arrived within 3-5 days.

I'm sorry to announce that I had a horrible experience with the shoes I have purchased and used only 2 weeks. The show insults have been ripped and damaged with them being burly used. I've been in contact with your customer service team in person and via email for about 2 weeks now, and I'm frustrated that I've spent nearly $300 with no satisfactory response. I've visited your store twice, and both times, I was directed to your website. This has been the worst customer service experience I've ever had, and I'm disappointed with the poor quality and customer care. Definitely not recommended. Do not waste your time and money.
